DA NANG – IRONMAN 70.3 VIET NAM

Prepare yourself for the exhilarating atmosphere of the elite three-discipline race at the 8th season of the IRONMAN 70.3 Vietnam 2024 event. The competition takes place in the most vibrant city of Vietnam – Da Nang. Nestled amidst majestic mountain ranges, the flat race course ensures speed, culminating in a finish line that greets athletes right by the seaside.

Da Nang boasts spectacular landmarks, stunning beaches, and delectable cuisine, earning it a spot on the New York Times’ “52 Places to Go” list. Situated amidst three UNESCO World Heritage Sites (Hoi An Ancient Town, My Son Sanctuary, and the Complex of Hue Monuments), your race route promises not to disappoint.

The race weekend also features the Sunrise SPRINT Vietnam (a short-distance triathlon) and IRONKIDS Vietnam (an underwater and short-distance triathlon), catering to participants of all ages and skill levels.

Athletes will have the opportunity to challenge themselves on the distinctive racecourse, soaking in scenic views. The competition kicks off with a 1.9km ocean swim from the beautiful beach in front of the Hyatt Regency Danang Resort & Spa, the hosting hotel and the event’s epicenter.

Following this, participants will transition to the 90km cycling leg, covering two loops along the pristine coastline and passing through the city’s iconic landmarks. In the final 21km run, athletes can relish renowned landscapes before crossing the finish line at the beachfront Hyatt hotel. With year-round tropical weather, the warm climate makes it an ideal race setting, preparing athletes for summer IRONMAN competitions.
