On the afternoon of July 5th, at the Hoiana Resort, the organizers held a press conference to announce the Quang Nam International Kite Festival 2024. The event, jointly organized by the Quang Nam Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism and Hoiana Resort & Golf, will take place from July 25th to 28th, 2024. This festival is expected to bring a fresh and vibrant perspective to Quang Nam tourism through this unique international cultural and sports event.
As part of the 2024 tourism promotion activities “Quang Nam – The Green Heritage Land” the Quang Nam International Kite Festival 2024 will be held on the beach adjacent to Hoiana Resort, located in Tay Son Tay village, Duy Hai commune, Duy Xuyen district, Quang Nam province.
This international kite art event aims to promote and preserve the art of kite making and flying. Additionally, the International Kite Festival aspires to become an annual international cultural, artistic, and tourism event in Quang Nam, attracting both domestic and international tourists to Quang Nam and other central region destinations.
This year’s festival will see the participation of kite teams from approximately 10 countries and territories, including China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, South Korea, Japan, Indonesia, the Philippines, Malaysia, Australia, and more. These teams will showcase stunning kite flying performances featuring around 100 different types of kites, along with a vibrant kite display area.
A highlight of the Quang Nam International Kite Festival 2024 will be the LED kite flying program, which will take place under the starry night on the evenings of July 26th, 27th, and 28th. Notably, on the night of July 27th, a grand music concert will feature performances by famous young singers.
In addition to the artistic kite performances, the festival will offer a variety of other exciting activities. Visitors will have the opportunity to participate in kite-making workshops under the guidance of skilled artisans, explore diverse and rich culinary options, enjoy magic shows, spectacular fire dance performances, and numerous other impressive entertainment activities.
