Korean Air Reopens the Incheon (South Korea) – Da Nang Route

The airlines have promoted reopening international routes to Da Nang after the success of the 2022 Asia Route Development Forum. On 22nd June 2022, Korean Air, Korea’s largest airline, reopens the Incheon (South Korea) – Da Nang route.

The program welcoming the first flight of Korean Air is organized by the Department of Tourism of Da Nang and AHT’s International Terminal Exploitation and Investment Joint Stock Company. The time frame of the program is from 9 pm to 10:30 pm on the same day at the International Arrival Terminal of Da Nang International Airport.

Flight KE9463, expected to have more than 200 passengers, will depart from Incheon International Airport at 6:40 pm (South Korea time) and land at Da Nang International Airport at 9:25 pm on 22nd June 2022.

Along with the lifting of restrictions on travel between the two countries Vietnam and Korea, Korean Air begins operating the charter flights with a frequency of 2 flights / per week to Da Nang on Wednesdays and Saturdays because of the growing need for tourists. The airline plans to operate regular flights from 27th July 2022 with a frequency of each / per day.

The direct working sessions of the city authorities and major international airlines within the framework of the 2022 Asia Route Development Forum have a positive impact on the recovery of the network of flights to Da Nang. It is the crucial goal that the city has set before reopening the international flight.”, said Mr. Nguyen Xuan Binh, Deputy Director of the Department of Tourism of Danang.

Since 2012, Korean Air is one of the first two Korean airlines that has come to Da Nang and thereby has made a breakthrough in the Korean passenger market. Therefore, we believe in the return of Korean Air will work actively towards the recovery of the first passenger market of Da Nang”, said Mr. Binh.

After restarting with charter flights, we plan to fly daily to Da Nang from 27th July 2022. Da Nang is an attractive destination for Korean tourists, so we expect the flights will be operated at maximum capacity. The 5-star flights of Korean Air will bring passengers interesting and memorable journeys to Da Nang.”, said Mr. Chung Eui Seock, the Chief Representative of Korean Air in Da Nang.
