On April 2, 2022, The People’s Committee of Da Nang city held a press conference to officially announce the Asia Route Development Forum 2022 (Routes Asia 2022) in Da Nang with a wide range of programs and activities connecting the air transport and flight network in the Asia-Pacific area.
The 16th Asia Route Development Forum 2022 takes place from June 4 to 9, 2022 in Da Nang, chaired by Informa Routes Company with the co-organization of the People’s Committee of Da Nang city and Duy Anh Trading Joint Stock Company – IPP Travel Retail. The event is organized with the participation of more than 500 delegates from the airlines in Asia, Europe, the Middle East and North America; airports and airport operators; air service providers and international travel agencies from Asia and countries around the world.
On October 11, 2021 in Milan (Italy), within the framework of World Route Development Forum (World Routes), Da Nang – Vietnam was announced as the official host city of the event Asia Route Development Forum 2022 (Routes Asia), marking an important milestone for the recovery of the aviation and tourism industries.
Within the framework of the Asia Route Development Forum 2022, there are 19 main and ancillary activities: (1) Asia Travel and Aviation Exhibition 2022 with about 50 booths and 600 delegates from 110 international airlines, 200 airports, 30 travel agencies, 60% of which come from Asia and 40% from Europe, North America, the Middle East and the rest; (2) Direct business meeting and connection program with more than 500 meetings between partners in the system of the Asia Route Development Forum 2022; (3) A series of conferences and seminars on the issue of aviation recovery in Asia and the development of aviation services in the new normal period; (4) Communication activities of the Asia Route Development Forum 2022 at home country and abroad; (5) Organizing Da Nang booths at the Asia Tourism – Aviation Exhibition; (6) Destination survey program, connecting with international airlines to visit, surveying aviation service infrastructure and outstanding tourist destinations of Da Nang; (7) Forum “Da Nang: Potential Destination of Asia” promoting the potential and environment of investment, trade and tourism of Da Nang; (8) Programs to receive and work with aviation – tourism investors; (9) Welcome party and connection party for delegates coming to the event and many side activities promoting the destination of Da Nang to international delegates.
Taking place in the period that the country is reopening international tourism activities after two years affected by the COVID-19 epidemic, Da Nang city hopes that the Asia Route Development Forum will open up great opportunities to promote , introduce the image and development potential of Da Nang city; create a premise to recovery and expand the international flight network; promote investment in the field of aviation infrastructure – tourism; increase the frequency of goods and services exchange between Da Nang and partner cities in Asia.
