After nearly 2-year suspension due to the Covid-19 pandemic, Singapore Airlines is the five-star international airline pioneers restarting international commercial flights to Da Nang.
Specifically, Singapore Airlines is about to operate 1 flight/day from Da Nang to Singapore and 1 flight back starting from March 27, 2022 which have been scheduled for every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday morning and Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday afternoon. In the near future, the airline is expecting to further increase their flight volume to fulfill customers’ need.
Before temporary suspension by Covid-19, Singapore Airlines was one of the leading tourism markets in Da Nang. With a great purchasing power in Southeast Asia, it operated 4 direct flights/day. The resumption of international commercial flights is considered a good signal for the city’s tourism industry in efforts to recovery its international tourism after a long period of time being heavily affected by Covid-19.
Previously, the Civil Aviation Administration of Vietnam had released a document requesting Vietnam Air Traffic Management Corporation to issue an unofficial notice to all relevant aviation authorities about reopening international routes as ‘pre-covid normal’ since February 15.
It is known that in the near future, beside Singapore Airlines, major airlines such as Vietnam Airlines, Vietjet Air, Bamboo Airways, Qatar Airways … will begin to operate international flights departing from other big markets such as South Korea. (Incheon, Busan, Jeju,…), Narita (Japan), Doha…
Air tickets for Singapore – Da Nang routes and vice versa are currently available for sale on Singapore Airlines’ system.
