On March 3rd, Emirates confirmed that it will introduce a direct service to Da Nang via a transit stop in Bangkok, Thailand. This marks Da Nang as the third Vietnamese destination in the airline’s network, following Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.
The inaugural flights to Da Nang will commence on June 2nd, operating every Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday. The route will be serviced by a Boeing 777-300ER, featuring two cabin classes: 35 seats in Business Class and 368 seats in Economy Class.
According to Emirates, the flight schedule has been strategically designed to ensure seamless connectivity for travelers from major European cities such as London, Paris, Amsterdam, Manchester, Milan, and Rome, as well as key destinations in the United States. Additionally, the new route is expected to attract affluent travelers from the Middle East to Da Nang, further enhancing its appeal as a global tourism hub.
As per the announced schedule, flight EK370 will depart from Dubai at 9:00 AM and arrive in Bangkok at 6:25 PM. It will then continue from Bangkok at 8:10 PM, landing in Da Nang at 9:50 PM (local time).
For the return journey, flight EK371 will depart from Da Nang at 11:30 PM, arriving in Bangkok at 1:10 AM. The flight will then leave Bangkok at 3:40 AM, landing in Dubai at 6:50 AM.
Ms. Truong Thi Hong Hanh, Director of the Da Nang Department of Tourism, emphasized that Emirates’ decision to operate flights to Da Nang presents a significant opportunity to promote the city to travelers from over 150 countries and territories.
“This new route will not only boost tourism but also enhance the city’s readiness to facilitate international business, trade, and investment, especially as Da Nang progresses towards establishing itself as an international financial hub and free trade zone,” she stated.
With this expansion, Da Nang continues to solidify its position as a premier destination for international travelers and a strategic gateway for global connectivity.
