Additionally, in a landmark development, Emirates Airlines is working on launching a Dubai – Bangkok – Da Nang flight route, with daily operations (seven flights per week), slated to begin on June 1, 2025. The introduction of this route will further elevate Da Nang’s presence on the international stage, making it more accessible to travelers from the Middle East and beyond.

Success of the Da Nang – Ahmedabad Route

Since its launch, the Da Nang – Ahmedabad (India) route, operated by Vietjet Air, has seen substantial passenger traffic. Over 10,000 passengers have traveled between the two cities in just four months, demonstrating strong demand for air connectivity between Vietnam and India. Operating at two round-trip flights per week, this route has unlocked new opportunities for tourism, business cooperation, and cultural exchange between the two nations.

Da Nang’s Growing Role as a Global Tourism Hub

The expansion of Da Nang’s air travel network is a strategic move to diversify its tourism markets and reduce dependency on traditional visitor sources. By establishing new links with Russia, Eastern Europe, and the Middle East, the city is poised to tap into high-potential tourist markets while boosting economic growth through increased international arrivals.

Discussing the impact of this expansion, Nguyen Ngoc Thien, Deputy Director of Hai Van Cat International Travel Company, stated:
“The addition of new flight routes strengthens Da Nang’s position as a leading international destination. Connectivity with global hubs such as Dubai not only enhances tourism but also attracts significant investment interest. Furthermore, the presence of world-renowned airlines like Emirates raises Da Nang’s profile on the international stage, increasing its appeal among both travelers and business investors.”

With 2025 set to be a transformative year for air travel in Da Nang, these new routes will play a crucial role in shaping the city’s future as a dynamic tourism and business gateway.
