On July 19, 2024, flight HX548 operated by Hong Kong Airlines landed at Da Nang International Airport, bringing 152 passengers from Hong Kong (China) to explore and experience the city’s tourism services.
The welcome ceremony for Hong Kong Airlines’ inaugural flight to Da Nang took place at the International Arrivals Terminal of Da Nang International Airport. The event was attended by leaders from the Da Nang Department of Tourism, the Central Airports Authority, Da Nang International Airport, Da Nang International Terminal Investment and Operation Joint Stock Company, Hong Kong Airlines, and representatives from various media outlets.
Upon arrival in Da Nang, the passengers were warmly greeted with a traditional lion dance performance and received souvenirs, including traditional conical hats and other unique gifts representing Da Nang’s tourism.
The launch of Hong Kong Airlines’ daily round-trip flights between Hong Kong and Da Nang has increased the total number of weekly flights on this route to 21. Currently, two other airlines operate regular flights between Hong Kong and Da Nang: Hong Kong Express with 10 flights per week and VietJet Air with 4 flights per week.
The participation of Hong Kong Airlines not only contributes to the recovery and development of Da Nang’s international flight network but also opens up numerous opportunities to connect Da Nang with other international destinations within the region and around the world.
