Scoot Airlines Launches Direct Flights Singapore – Da Nang Route

On the afternoon of October 20, Scoot Airlines’ flight TR314 from Changi International Airport (Singapore) successfully landed at Da Nang International Airport, officially marking the inauguration of the new direct Singapore–Da Nang route. The inaugural flight carried 174 passengers, warmly welcomed upon arrival in the coastal city.

This new route, operated by Scoot Airlines a low-cost subsidiary of the Singapore Airlines Group—connects Singapore and Da Nang with three weekly flights on Mondays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, and is scheduled to increase to daily service starting January 2026. The flights are operated using Airbus A320 aircraft, accommodating between 180 and 186 passengers.

To commemorate the inaugural flight, a welcoming ceremony was held at the International Arrival Terminal of Da Nang International Airport. The event featured a traditional water cannon salute, cultural performances, and the presentation of flowers and souvenirs to the passengers. Visitors expressed their delight and appreciation for the city’s warm, friendly, and hospitable reception.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Tán Văn Vương, Deputy Director of the Da Nang Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, highlighted the significance of the new route:

Scoot Airlines currently serves over 70 destinations across 16 countries, including major cities such as Tokyo, Seoul, Bangkok, Sydney, Athens, Berlin, and Vienna, offering medium- and long-haul routes across Asia, Australia, the Middle East, and Europe.

In Vietnam, Scoot operates direct flights from Singapore to Ho Chi Minh City (7–14 flights per week), Hanoi (5 flights per week), Phu Quoc (6 flights per week), and Cam Ranh (to commence in November 2025 with 2 flights per week).

The newly launched Singapore–Da Nang route, inaugurated on October 20, 2025, with three flights per week and an expected increase to seven flights per week by January 2026, marks another significant milestone in strengthening aviation and tourism connectivity between Vietnam and Singapore.
