The Cruise Ship Returns to Da Nang After 2 Years Pandemic

DNO – On the morning of October 9, the city’s Department of Tourism organized to welcome the cruise ship “Le Lapeurouse”. It is operated by Vivu Journeys Vietnam Joint Stock Company to Tien Sa port. This is the first ship to bring tourists by sea to Da Nang after a long break because of Covid-19.

The French tourist ship “Le Lapeurouse” brought more than 200 international tourists and crew members, mainly from Europe and the US, to Da Nang. In October, as planned, the ship “Le Lapersouse” will dock at Da Nang port on October 9th,16th, and 29th.

With the stay time from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m., tourists on board will have nearly a day to visit the tourist areas and attractions of Da Nang or Quang Nam Province. Tourists can choose from 3 different sightseeing routes at Ngu Hanh Son, Hoi An, and My Son Sanctuary.

Ms. Maria, an Argentinian tourist, shared that this is the first time she and her husband have come to Da Nang on a cruise from Malaysia, Singapore, etc., to visit the provinces and cities of Vietnam. Da Nang has many famous attractions, so she and her husband are looking forward to experiencing such as the Golden Bridge of Sun World – Ba Na Hills tourist area, Ngu Hanh Son, and the Da Nang beaches.

It is known that “Le Laperouse” is the leading ship of the Ponant Explorers class of cruise ships (including 6 members) operated by the Ponant shipping company. Before arriving in Da Nang, the ship “Le Laperouse” docked at Saigon port on October 2. During the voyage in Vietnam, this ship takes tourists to Nha Trang (Khanh Hoa), Quy Nhon (Binh Dinh), Tien Sa (Da Nang), Chan May (Hue), Hon La (Quang Binh) and Ha Long (Quang Binh).
