The Whale Worship Festival is a sacred tradition of the coastal communities in Son Tra, honoring the Whale God (Ca Ong), who is believed to protect fishermen and bless them with safe and bountiful voyages. This festival pays tribute to the ancestors who built temples and shrines for the Whale God and prays for peace, prosperity, and abundant seafood harvests.
