The international organization SKYTRAX has recently announced the results of its 2024 rankings for airports worldwide. Among them, Noi Bai International Airport and Da Nang International Airport have been honored in the “World’s Top 100 Airports 2024.”
According to the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam (under the Ministry of Transport), the Skytrax rankings are based on the opinions of millions of passengers from over 100 countries. These evaluations cover a range of specific criteria related to the quality of services at international passenger terminals, convenience, comfort, language proficiency, staff attitude, and more.
It is well-known that both Noi Bai International Airport and Da Nang International Airport have continuously strived to enhance their service quality and ensure excellent passenger care. They have improved infrastructure, added numerous amenities, upgraded service quality, and trained and developed staff to enhance the passenger experience.
Both airports have implemented significant measures to improve service quality, such as adopting Airport Collaborative Decision Making (A-CDM) to optimize airport operations and implementing IT solutions to address the challenge of passenger numbers exceeding the designed capacity of their terminals.
Non-aviation businesses and taxi companies operating at Noi Bai and Da Nang airports are required to commit to ensuring high service standards. Both airports maintain channels to receive passenger feedback and focus on promoting Vietnamese culture. They invest in the installation of cultural displays that reflect local identity and incorporate traditional elements into artistic performances, such as the “Heritage Path” program and the “Hanoi Essence” cultural week.
“All these efforts are aimed at providing passengers with excellent services, enhancing the airport terminal experience, and meeting global aviation industry standards,” a representative from the Civil Aviation Authority noted.
The World Airport Awards were launched in 1999 when Skytrax conducted a global airport customer satisfaction survey. The awards are considered a quality benchmark for airports worldwide, evaluating customer service and facilities at over 500 airports.
