Da Nang, the vibrant coastal city of Central Vietnam, is once again poised to take center stage in the regional arts scene with the return of the Da Nang Asian Film Festival 2025 (DANAFF III). Set to take place from June 29 to July 5, this third edition promises to be more dynamic, diverse, and far-reaching than ever before, firmly establishing Da Nang as a rising cultural hub in Southeast Asia.
Following the success of its inaugural editions, DANAFF has rapidly gained recognition as a prestigious platform for Asian filmmakers and a unique destination for cinema lovers. With its 2025 theme, “Bridging Asia”, the festival continues its mission of celebrating cultural diversity through the powerful lens of cinema showcasing not only Vietnamese talent but also voices from across the continent.
Organized by the Vietnam Film Development Association (VFDA) in collaboration with Da Nang City People’s Committee, DANAFF III will span seven days an extension from previous years to accommodate an expanded program of over 100 feature films, special screenings, industry forums, and cultural activities. From red-carpet galas to outdoor screenings by the beach, Da Nang will transform into a cinematic haven where tradition and innovation meet.
As the city known for its warm hospitality and modern infrastructure, Da Nang provides the ideal backdrop for this cinematic celebration. With its sweeping coastline, iconic bridges, and thriving arts community, it offers visiting artists, directors, and fans a chance to experience both the beauty of Vietnam and the creative energy of Asia’s film industry.
