In 2024, the Da Nang International Fireworks Festival will occur in June and July with eight competing teams.
At the conference to deploy Da Nang’s tourism industry in 2024, Ms. Pham Tu Cau, Vice President and General Director of Sun Group in the Central Region, said that the unit would continue to accompany the city to bring the national fireworks festival to the audience. It is expected that DIFF 2024 will not only make a booming tourism season but also affirm the regional brand of “fireworks city.“
It is expected that DIFF 2024 will have five shows. The opening night will be on June 8, the middle nights will be, in turn, on June 15-22-29, and the final night will be on July 13. Participating teams include Vietnam, France, Italy, USA, Germany, Finland, China, and Poland.
At the conference, businesses also proposed that Da Nang City have a long-term investment strategy for DIFF with high-quality facilities, such as a square or stage, and large-scale fireworks stands, to contribute to raising DIFF’s position and making Da Nang “the world’s new fireworks destination.“
In 2023, DIFF attracted more than 942,000 visitors, an increase of nearly 30% compared to DIFF 2019. The total number of visitors served by accommodation establishments during the five peak days of DIFF 2023 alone reached roughly 322,000. The number of flights to Da Nang has reached 150 flights/day, 1.5 times higher than usual.
DIFF has become a brand event that contributes to promoting and attracting visitors. At the same time, it is a widespread push, promoting strong development of city tourism.
