Quang Da Tet Holiday’s Culinary Cultural Festival 2024

Implement Plan No. 114/KH-UBND dated May 24, 2023, of the People’s Committee of Da Nang on developing cuisine into a unique tourism product in Da Nang in the period from 2023 to 2030. This aims to diversify and form a system of culinary tourism products while promoting, exploiting, and developing new and unique culinary products to serve and attract domestic and international tourists to Da Nang, contributing to supporting businesses and developing the district’s economy, enhancing Son Tra’s unique cultural values, including cuisine and tourism. This paves a path for building the brand “Son Tra Tourism Cuisine” while contributing to stimulating local tourism demand, developing it in depth and sustainably.

Traditional dishes on Tet holiday are one of the indispensable things in every Vietnamese family when Tet holiday comes. Everyone shops and cooks the best dishes first to offer to the Gods, Grandparents, and Ancestors, then enjoy them together during the bustling and joyful days of Tet holiday. With the desire to create more unique, joyful, and meaningful features for this year’s Lunar New Year, the Quang Nam Culinary Culture Association cooperates with the Da Nang Culinary Culture Association under the chairmanship of the People’s Committee of Son Tra District will jointly organize the “Quang Da Tet Holiday’s Culinary Cultural Festival.“

The program is divided into two parts: Ceremony and Festival

– Part 1: Ceremony and Cuisine from February 2 to 6, 2024

– Part 2: Spring Flower Festival and Cuisine from February 7 to 17, 2024

Many outstanding events and special activities of the festival include the opening ceremony and Quang noodle-themed ao dai fashion show. Therefore, there is a space to display, introduce, and experience culinary culture with 50 activity booths and unique culinary performances, the Spring Flower Festival, the “School Singing” Competition, and the “Good Chef” Contest. Skillful wrapping cake program with the theme “Love Cake Pot” with the participation of 14 communes and wards in the City. There are also entertainment activities, folk games, bai choi (a type of folk art), and so on.
