Straight to the heart of Vietnam- first direct flight from Manila arrives in Da Nang City

No more connecting flights! Visiting Da Nang from the Philippines is easier now with Cebu Pacific Air’s new direct route from Manila.

Cebu Pacific Air, the popular budget airline, inaugurated its first-ever direct route from Manila to Da Nang on December 7, bringing in 177 passengers from the Philippines. Said flight is the first non-stop flight operated by Cebu Pacific from Manila to Da Nang. This route has a frequency of three times a week: every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday

Moreover, there was a welcome celebration program for the passengers of the inaugural flight from Manila to Da Nang City. The program included the ribbon-cutting ceremony, an Ao dai show, and souvenir distribution. Adding to the fun, three passengers won round-trip ticket vouchers from the airline.

Various representatives from the Philippine Embassy in Vietnam, Department of Tourism, Central Vietnam Airports Authority, Da Nang International Airport Corporation, Da Nang Investment and Development of International Terminal Joint Stock Company (AHT), Da Nang Tourism Association, Da Nang Tourism Development Fund, Cebu Pacific Air officials, and media personnel witnessed the arrival of the first batch of passengers from the A320NEO aircraft utilized by Cebu Pacific Air at Da Nang International Airport.

Vice Chairman of Da Nang City People’s Committee, Mr. Tran Chi Cuong, declares the Philippines as one of the new and potential markets of Da Nang City. He adds, “The success of this route is a fruit of the Asian Routes Forum – Routes Asia 2022 held at Da Nang City. Through this forum, we have connected and worked with Cebu Pacific Air to promote the opening of a new flight from Manila to Da Nang today, contributing to restoring and diversifying the international market to Da Nang. We expect the flight route will create favorable conditions for connecting and exchanging bilateral passengers between the two markets.”

Da Nang City is a coastal city in the central region of Vietnam, serving as a point of passage to three UNESCO World Heritage sites. The City boasts the world-renowned My Khe beach and the famous Golden Bridge.

On the other hand, the capital city of Manila is the perfect gateway to prominent islands and heritage cities in the Philippines like Cebu, Palawan, and Boracay. Manila City itself does not lack any historical and cultural landmarks for visitors to enjoy.
