On July 18, the Danang Department of Tourism held a press conference introducing the Danang Golf Tourism Festival 2023.
Accordingly, the festival will take place from August 25 to September 2, and the heart of the festival is the professional tournament BRG Open Golf Championship Danang 2023. It is expected to have 144 professional golfers, including 120 international and 24 Vietnamese athletes. The total prize money of the BRG Open Golf Championship Danang 2023 is up to 100,000 USD.
The festival also features outstanding activities such as exchanges with international golfers, Da Nang travel experiences for athletes, and international golf seminars.
With the orientation of bringing the sport of golf closer to people and visitors, the Organizing Committee of Danang Golf Tourism Festival 2023 introduces new activities such as a golf booth exhibition and check-in, golf practice experience, fashion show, and food.
Cultural and culinary promotion activities at booths in the festival area were held in APEC Park. Visitors will have the opportunity to experience practice on the 2nd floor of APEC Park or at the training ground of the central golf course system for students.
Mr. Nguyen Xuan Binh, Deputy Director of the Danang Department of Tourism, said that the city wishes to contribute to creating an exciting vacation with many experiences in Da Nang for golfers and tourists within this event.
According to Mr. Binh, golf is becoming a highlight in many MICE programs, especially large-scale programs with high requirements for professionalism and distinction. Golf can also play a key role in choosing a destination for a MICE event as most business leaders are golf lovers.
Therefore, developing golf through the successful organization of the Danang Golf Tourism Festival 2022 is building an attraction for MICE tourism, affirming Da Nang’s position as a leading destination for events and festivals.
